The Ural Plant of Chemical Reagents is the first Russian enterprise specialized in producing inorganic chemical reagents.

The Plant was found in 1930 in Sverdlovsk City on the basis of experimental works of the Ural Chemical-technological Institute and was called Sverdlovsk Reagent Plant. In 1958 Sverdlovsk Plant of Chemical Reagents was joined it. The Plant was quickly developed and in 70-80's in Vercknyaya Pyshma at 10 km from Ekaterinburg City the new modern Plant was constructed. The full capacity of the Plant is 7000 t of products per year.

The new Plant has suitable geographic situation in the center of Urals region. The enterprise has railway and automobile access roads, warehouses, transport items.

The Plant's assortment includes about several hundreds of chemical reagents. Among them:

1. Main product range:

■oxides of vanadium, bismuth, cadmium, copper, nickel, silver;
■salts of aluminium, bismuth, cadmium, calcium, cobalt, copper, iron, nickel, silver, zinc;
■compounds of iodine;
■ranulated lead, zinc, tin, cadmium, aluminum, bismuth and fusible alloys based on lead, zinc, tin and bismuth;
■acid and alkaline electrolyte.
2. Customer -oriented product range:

■salts of ammonium, barium, bismuth, cadmium, calcium, cobalt, copper, iron, nickel, potassium, silver, sodium, zinc;■oxides of vanadium, bismuth, calcium, copper, nickel.
3. Products for special purposes:

■titrants;
■medical products including sets of alcoholic intoxication indicators;
■tests for solid narcotics detection;
■sets of chemical reagents for analysis of drinking water.

The product's application spectrum includes: petroleum chemical industry, electromechanical industry, mechanical engineering, production of varnish and paints, fodder additives, food industry, production of ceramics, fire-clay and fire-bricks, cosmetics, glass, pharmaceutical preparations, photographic materials, luminous substances.

Cooperation with research academic institutes, own exploratory base, flexibility of effecting allow to respond more quickly to market demand changes and to master output of new products.
